EOS Lip Balm Leaps to the Top of the Isle of Beauty Products by Upstaging its Competitors

It is an amazing story to read how a small upstart known as EOS lip balm managed to brave the intense waves of beauty product competition to upstage a seasoned company like Chapstick. The founders of the new kid on the block have not been sleeping on their laurels; rather, they devoted a lot of time and money to study the dynamics of the beauty industry. Their effort did not go to waste because through an accurate interpretation of the market forces they have successfully employed a mixer of packaging, appeal, a variety of flavors, and market positioning to compete with well-established vendors of beauty products.  More of this EOS on frenchtribune.com.

Although they have been in the business for not more than seven years, presently the company is ranked among the high-performers in the beauty niches. The entrance of EOS Balm into the market has unsettled the comfortable dominance that Chapstick has enjoyed for a long time. The winning strategy that the company has successfully used is to identify the missing element in the distribution of beauty products and fill up the gap with an innovative product.

All the goods made by the company are natural and organic in nature. Instead of focusing on the product distribution, the owners of the company decided to place emphasis on the values and ideals that the firm represents. The unique selling proposition they evolved was the manufacture of a product that is different from everything else in the market. To be noticed in the beauty aisles they targeted celebrities and fashion-mongers.

The strategy wasn’t in vain because EOS lip balm soon found its ways into the compact beauty packages of stars. The customer segments which the product mainly targeted were women who are known to use lip balms of various kinds frequently; however, the product is made to suit the tastes of both sexes. The balm is competitively priced, and it has different flavors that appeal to all the five human senses of sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing.  For more of EOS, watch this video!

EOS the untold lip balm story and flavors

Many years of frantically finding a lip balm that did what it was supposed to but yet caught our eye, seemed to be somewhat impossible until EOS Lip Balm was formed. They took over local chain stores like Walgreens and Walmart and all the magazines couldn’t get enough of this uniquely shaped, smell good product.  Check this on ebay.com.

EOS is the second best lip balm in the country which I could have guessed with this amazing product. This lip balm didn’t always have this shape it has now, in fact, they brought in a clay artist who sculpted different shapes until they found the right one. They wanted a product that wasn’t gimmicky and lasted a long time. Something that feels good in the hands, smells good and tastes delicious.  More of this on Walgreens.com.

Pomegranate Raspberry lip balm is by far my favorite scent, it has a settle sweet smell and creates a smooth base on your lips to keep your lips nice and soft all day long. The second one would have to be Coconut Oil, this one is amazing if you have severely dry lips. This one has natural oils along with vitamin C & E, this one also works immediately after applying. Third EOS lip balm is Passion Fruit which just screams Spring to me, the product’s color and the smell is truly outdone in a good way! 100% natural with lots of victims.  Follow Eos on their facebook.com page.

Amid New Releases, Classics Are Favored Too

The uproar of popularity that the company Evolution of Smooth – or EOS – is seeing is partly thanks to celebrities, and partly thanks to a variety of whacky flavors. These flavors can often by identified by long-time users simply by looking at what color the little pod is. Two of the classic flavors – that have been around as long as or almost as long as the company has been – continue to pop up in check out lines, make up aisles, and other parts of stores everywhere.

One of these popular flavors is the sweet mint flavor – available in a mint green/blue pod. Unlike the other EOS flavors, this one has peppermint in the mix. The addition of peppermint – as any user of peppermint flavored lip balms can tell you – gives this particular flavor a tingling feeling when first applied to the lips. It smells like Christmas time, which is always a plus. In addition to these two qualities of the lip balm, it has all the qualities of any of the other lip balms in regards to how it behaves on your lips. It helps keep them from chapping, which we could all use.  Check this on evolutionofsmooth.ca

Another classic flavor that is staying in check out lines everywhere is the raspberry pomegranate. This flavor comes in a dark red pod that looks more like a pomegranate than a raspberry. Unlike the sweet mint, this flavor has a subtle flavor and smell that reminds one of a garden in bloom. It’s a softer feel to it as well, which makes it better for those who don’t like the tingle they get from the sweet mint. Like the sweet mint flavor, this flavor keeps lips from chapping and offers a fun way to protect the lips in winter.  Head over to evolutionofsmooth.com

Don Ressler: A Business Mogul Mastermind

Don Ressler is the business mogul that established very profitable startups into being huge companies/franchises. One of his successful startups is Intelligent Beauty and its subsidiaries. His first startup, FitnessHeaven.com, was bought in 2001 by the Intermix Media. Around that time, Ressler partnered with Adam Goldenberg, the COO of Intermix who was 19 years old at the time. Through this partnership, Alena Media was formed.

Intermix’s performance and ecommerce advertising division, their only area of profit, generated revenue in the amount of hundreds of millions of dollar, and this company was acquired by News Corp in 2005. And even though Ressler and Goldenberg were the main key players in this media conglomerate’s success, this company ignored them. So as a result, Ressler and Goldenberg left them to pursue new opportunities.

Ressler contributed in some companies and investments. In addition to being the co-founder and co-CEO of Intelligent Beauty and founder of FitnessHeaven.com, he is the co-founder of JustFab, a subscription fashion e-tailer. SENSA and DERMSTORE are part of Intelligent Beauty, and it’s reported that these brands are highly profitable.

After two years of investing their own money, Ressler and Goldenberg finally obtained their first round of funding in 2008 from the Technology Crossover Ventures in an amount of $43 million. They have also received several more rounds of financing over time from other investors which helped them expand their empire. The investors include Matrix Partners, Shining Capital, Rho Ventures, and Crossover Ventures. The last funding amount of $85 million was retrieved by them in August 2014 from most of their existing investors and led by the Passport Special Opportunity Fund. As a result, their total capitulation is $250 million, and this business partnership is expanding into different markets. They also partnered with other hi-profile executives from Alena Media and celebs, and they have opened new brands, including The Fab Shoes, FabKids, ShoeDazzle, and Fabletics.

It is reported that The Fab Shoes has over 500,000 subscription members in France and Spain. JustFab has over 3 million subscription members throughout Europe. JustFab also acquired ShoeDazzle, their rival shoe subscription service in August 2013. And as of September 2013, JustFab opened a traditional brick and mortar store.

Ressler has proven to an extraordinary, entrepreneurial genius. He stated that finding the right partner to grow with their partnership is now the key in this stage of their business. And according to L.A. Biz, Ressler is being wise in choosing investors.
